Greetings for Macintosh READ ME
For best results, you may wish to turn off most extensions, except for Apple CD-ROM, prior to installing.
Greetings for Macintosh needs the following in order to run:
Ñ System 7.0
Ñ 8 MB of physical RAM, minimum
The installer will not proceed if these requirements cannot be met.
NOTE: You can turn on your VIRTUAL memory in the Memory Control Panel. Also,
if you have System 7.1 you may be able to increase the amount of available virtual
memory if you turn on 32-bit addressing.
The installer will create a folder called ╥Greetings ─╙ on your desktop,
containing the Greetings application and related folders and files.
The installer will copy Microsoft OLE files into your Extensions folder.
Previous copies already installed will be moved to a folder on your desktop
called ╥Old Extensions╙, and not deleted or overwritten.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE THIS ╥Old Extensions╙ FOLDER UNTIL YOU
ARE SURE THAT ALL YOUR OTHER PROGRAMS STILL WORK CORRECTLY,
i.e., those that use Microsoft OLE. The odds that installing
these files will cause any error are very small, but at least
this way you have A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL OLE FILES if there
is any problem.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are reinstalling, it is always OK to replace any duplicate file at all --
just say Yes.
After installing all files, the installer will RESTART your Macintosh.
You may notice a file in the trash (marked "delete") after your computer restarts.
This is OK, you should just empty your trash. You may get a message saying that
your computer was not properly shut down; if you choose, you may turn this message
off in your Control Panels.
